Bridals with Kara: Marlsgate Plantation - Arkansas Wedding Photographer

Kara was simply stunning. She wore one of the most gorgeous full skirt, ball-gown wedding dress I have seen in years. She also wore and a Cathedral-length veil that was as equally as stunning.

Kara chose Marlsgate Plantation in Scott, Arkansas as her location for her bridal session.

Below are my favorites from her session in late November.

Wedding day photos will be coming soon, but in the meantime, you can see her engagements with Kevin by going here.

Simple. Elegant. Perfection.

I photographed Leslie for her bridal session in late November at Marlsgate Plantation in Scott, Arkansas. Leslie's dress is one of the most stunning I've seen in a long time. With the illusion neckline, it was perfect for her. Simple, elegant and perfect.

Below are some of my faves from her bridal session.

Bridals with Christina | Marlsgate Plantation | Little Rock, Arkansas Wedding Photographer

Christina and Adam were married this past weekend in a simply beautiful ceremony at The Villa Marre just outside of downtown Little Rock.

I met up with Christina at the end of April for her bridal session at Marlsgate Plantation in Scott, Arkansas. The location was the perfect setting for Christina's elegant and classic beautyn and it was perfect to show off her fabulous Vera Wang gown. It was a perfect day for bridals: 70 and sunny with a wonderful breeze.

Check out her stunning bridals.

Lovely in Lace

I love that more and more brides are choosing sleeves for their wedding gown. I ADORE this delicate sheer lace sleeve from Thursday's bridal session at Marlsgate. My client told me the gown itself, a Verg Wang gown, was a given to her from her best friend who wore it years ago. She then found Valentino lace and had these lovely sleeves added to the dress to make it uniquely her own.

Bridals with Julie

I never thought something as simple as sleeves could be so refreshing...and so elegant.

I photographed Julie for her bridal portrait session at the ever-classic Marlsgate Plantation in Scott, AR. Julie said she wanted a "classic location with lots of wonderful indoor and outdoor options." After suggesting several options, she chose Marlsgate.

Over the years, I've seen all sorts and styles of wedding dresses. The overwhelming, vast majority were strapless with a sweetheart neckline. This style of wedding dress... for the most part... flatters everyone. But Julie told her mom she wanted something with sleeves. You don't often find someone who's bucking the trend, but this dress is simply perfect for Julie. Julie and her mom traveled to Dallas to find the perfect dress.

Julie's niece Saylor came along during the bridal session and I don't think I've seen a prettier baby.

We continued the bridal session indoors for a while and then it was time for Julie to let her hair down...literally. Once I know I have all the photos my clients want and need, I like to play around for a few fun and flirty photos. I asked Julie to take her hair down and after we pulled the 10,000 bobby pins out of her hair (just kidding, but there were A LOT of pins), we had a little fun.
