Engagements with Stephanie & Patrick: Arkansas Wedding Photography

I've known Stephanie & Patrick for many years. I first met Stephanie when I worked at the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. She worked for Arkansas Life magazine which is owned by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. I met Patrick also while on staff at the ADG. He worked in the Communications Department for the UALR Trojans.

I was beyond thrilled when they asked me to photograph their wedding day this past November.

We shot their engagements photos in the Hillcrest neighborhood of Little Rock as well as the grounds of the Clinton Presidential Center.

Below are some of my top faves from their engagement session. Check back for Stephanie's bridals and highlights from the wedding day.

Engagements with Tina and James | Clinton Presidential Center | Little Rock Arkansas Wedding Photographer

I met up with Tina and James on what was the last comfortable, non-humid day of spring for their engagement portrait session. We chose the Clinton Presidential Center as their backdrop. We were treated to a near empty location. The library was closed and there were no events going on so we had the place to ourselves. This was a HUGE treat.

My jaw nearly dropped when they walked up with Tina wearing a stunning beaded grey, silver and black cocktail dress and James in a tailor-made tuxedo. My thoughts were simple, If they wore this to their engagement session, I cannot wait to see what their wedding day attire will be like. I've seen a photo of Tina's wedding dress (stunning like her) and James informed me that he will be wearing a feather bow tie. LOVE. IT!

Here are my faves from their engagements. Stay tuned for wedding photos coming in the fall.

Engagements with Lisa and Troy | Little Rock Arkansas Wedding Photographer

Lisa and Troy hold an extra special place in my heart.

I worked with both Lisa and Troy several years ago when I worked at the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. For 15 years I was a staff photographer in the newsroom at the ADG and for many of those years I worked with Lisa and Troy. Lisa worked with the on-line news department and Troy as a sports writer.

Those days are long gone for me, but Lisa and Troy are going strong. Lisa now works as social media director for client relations at a local advertising agency and you can still find Troy's byline covering the ASU and UALR beats for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

I was so excited when Lisa asked me to be their wedding photographer for the big day in June. I had a great time in early November during their engagement photo session.

Much love to them both!

Engagements with Whitney and Chris | Arkansas Wedding Photographer

Blake nearly stole the show.

Blake is Chris' son. He's four-years-old and just as cute as can be.

Blake joined Whitney and Chris for their engagement photos. Blake will become Whitney stepson (lucky for them both) in August so they naturally wanted to capture a few blended family portraits.

I photographed Whitney and Chris' engagement photos at the Arkansas State Capitol as well as the Clinton Presidential Center. Both locations have so much to offer when it comes to photo backgrounds and options.

I'm really looking forward to Whitney's bridals later this month. She has the most amazing smile and her eyes just sparkle.

Their wedding day will be incredible.

One last note....Blake was fascinated with my camera. Like most kids, he really wanted to look at his photo on the back of the camera. I asked him if he wanted to take a photo of Dad and Whit (her nickname). So I preset the auto-focus and helped him hold the camera and where to push the button. His little fingers couldn't quite reach it.

The photo below is the one Blake shot...and it was perfect!
